Our Little Piece of Burgundy

Why? Because Burgundy is the home of Pinot Noir, and we decided to emulate their traditions with the best clone of the variety, and the traditional close spacing, low training, and all by hand!

Be a part of this! We are ‘pinotphiles’, and invite you to don the workboots and hat, and follow the entire procedure from training and pruning, to weeding, harvesting, crushing, fermenting and placement into new French oak.

You will be invited to follow its maturation process, then the final bottling.

Will your name be on a bottle? You will get the first offer of this ‘Reserve’ wine.

Can you present a bottle of this at your dinner table, and proudly state “I was part of this”?

Yes – do it!

Here’s how:

  1. Register your interest via email, phone, or via the website.

  2. Come out and have a look and talk – you will see the extent of the block, and have an idea of the work.

  3. When work is required, you will be contacted by email, explaining the task, and date/time.

The work is light, with like-minded folk to chat to. The vines have been in the ground for 5 years, so they are raring to go! Next vintage they will produce enough for the first new barrel – foot worked (pigeage), fermented with wild (indigenous) yeast, and hand plunged.
